Bedroom & Garden Guide

A beginner's guide to all things related to Bedroom and Garden. This guide covers Starcoin and Moon Coin generation, Red Hare ascension, gardening, fishing, and pet breeding.

Bedroom

This is where you get the majority of your Starcoins. Starcoins are more important than Moon Coins so try to prioritize getting them over the other. Starcoins are needed to buy 2 important items from the Mansion store:

  • Paper Cranes β€” used to unlock Thermae skins, which further increase Starcoin earnings.
  • Power of Love β€” needed to ascend Red Hare.

Buy Bedroom Furnitures first (start with the 1000 Starcoin pieces) to increase Comfort level (same as daily Starcoin output), which will increase the amount of Starcoins the Daruma doll generates per day by a minimum of +25/day.

Ascend

To rank up Red Hare, you need to max all 4 attributes, including Luck.

  • Use only Training (pink) tasks until your Luck is maxed first, then switch to only Working (turquoise) tasks to get Starcoins while the other 3 attributes reach max.
  • Schedules can be adjusted anytime from the following day till the end of the current week.
  • If you reach MAX on all 4 attributes but can't Ascend, your entire schedule should be only Working (turquoise) tasks to capitalize on Starcoins.
  • Once you are able to ascend, go back to Training (pink) tasks until Luck is maxed first, then switch to Working (turquoise) tasks for Starcoins.
  • Ascending will increase the attribute cap. After ascending, you'll start from your previous schedule level's attribute cap (10 for each attribute at level 1). The attributes and Starcoins earned from schedules increase with the schedule level.

Interactions / Special Encounters

Use Interactions that match Red Hare's mood (look at "Today's Status") to get an extra 10 Intimacy points and the chance to change her current mood. You can only gain rewards with Interactions 5 times a day.

  • If you are successful in changing her mood, switch to the corresponding interaction for her new mood for another chance to get bonus Intimacy points and to change her mood once again.
  • Special Encounters seem to be random but meeting all requirements will give you a decent amount of Starcoins.

Garden

This area is where you'll get the majority of your Moon Coins, some Starcoins from Thermae, and lots of idle chests. Moon Coins are used to buy Pet Eggs and Genetic Factor.

Spacetime Hub (World Extractor)

This is the most important section of this area! Try to always keep all 3 spots filled with a doll, especially dolls who have increased material production. The original 3 dolls you have each give an increased bonus to one of the three materials (read their skills) so make sure you place the right dolls in the right spots (look for the green-up arrow).

  • Get World Extractor to level 3 as quick as possible (focus on upgrading Thermae at the same time) to start producing Metal for future upgrades.
  • When your dolls run out of stamina, use other dolls in their place.
  • Evening swap tactic: Switch dolls in the evening (before reset) and have your dolls without stamina do some gardening overnight, since gardening does not use any stamina. Have them grow 12-hour seeds and by the time you wake up, they will be finished (or close). Swap them back to the World Extractor to utilize their boosted material productivity skills, then give your gardeners another 12-hour batch.
  • At device level 4, all materials get a boost from 10/min to 12/min, but stay at level 3 until you've leveled Thermae to level 4 first for more Starcoins.

Thermae

You start out with 1 Thermae skin. The current event shop offers 10 Paper Cranes to unlock a second skin. Using skins to bathe will increase their level and give you Starcoins. Upgrading Peach Brook to level 4 will increase your daily bathing chances from 3 to 4, making earning Starcoins and skin levels easier.

Gardening

This area gets you the most Moon Coins, along with other rewards such as idle boxes and Genetic Factor. It's much better than fishing, and once you have all 40 pots unlocked, the amount of idle chests you'll earn per week will be significant.

  • Liu Bei doll increases the amount of flowers you get and will be your full-time dedicated gardener, unless you need her for World Extractor. You can also use other event shop dolls if they have no tasks.
  • If you have 5 dolls, get the first 2 gardens up to level 2 or 3 and plant as you go, or skip these upgrades until you have Thermae at lv4 and World Extractor at lv3/lv4.
  • Seeds will ONLY grow in their designated garden (read seed description), so be careful which seeds you buy from the Mansion store.
  • Seeds can be bought with both regular coins and Starcoins but DON'T use Starcoins for seeds!
  • Try to stick to 12-hour seeds (until you get more dolls) so your gardeners are not stuck gardening while the World Extractor is empty. Dolls cannot be given a different role until all seeds on that garden patch are finished growing.

Fishing

This area will earn you some Moon Coins AND 3 Paper Cranes. At Alpha Pond, you get 9 fish to catch a day and 10 fish per day at level 3, plus your first medium fish. Bertha Pond cannot be unlocked until World Extractor reaches level 4.

  • You can buy fishing items from the Mansion store with regular coins and Starcoins (don't use Starcoins!). The Net and the Taser are the same price. Both can catch small fish and the Taser can also catch medium fish. Large fish won't be available until level 5.
  • The Net and Taser are good enough to catch all fish in Alpha Pond at level 2. Taser will be needed for medium fish at lv3. At level 4, you'll unlock your first collectable.
  • If you run out of fish, you can refresh the pond using gold. First refresh costs 300, second refresh is 500, third costs more.
  • When you are finished fishing, move Zhao Yun over to gardening or World Extractor.
  • Each new fish and collectable gives 2 points of progression. Every 10 points earns you a Paper Crane. Unlock Bertha Pond and catch the new fish for your first Crane.

Better Strat for Generating Starcoins

Using Starcoins to buy Decorations is definitely the way to go in the beginning, instead of saving them for Power of Love and Paper Cranes. Each additional furniture increases daily Starcoins by a minimum of 25/day (for the 1000 Starcoin pieces).

  • 1500 Starcoin furnitures = 30/day
  • 2000 Starcoin furnitures = 35/day

You get the 3-piece set bonus with your first purchase because the Daruma doll and the Bed already count as 2 furniture pieces. Over time, you'll earn much more Starcoins by buying furnitures first, making buying Hearts and Cranes much easier later.

Cost Efficiency Breakdown

  • 4x 1k furnitures (4000 Starcoins) = +100 Starcoins/day (40 Starcoins per Comfort level)
  • 3x 1.5k furnitures (4500 Starcoins) = +90 Starcoins/day (50 Starcoins per Comfort level)
  • 1x 2k furniture (2000 Starcoins) = +35 Starcoins/day (57.1 Starcoins per Comfort level)

All 8 pieces from the Mansion store = +225 additional Starcoins/day. Add Daruma doll, the bed, and your current Comfort level and in total you should be getting around 300 Starcoins/day just from Decorations. Better furnitures will be available from future events.

Pet Village Guide

Before you start, pick an event/pet type to focus on as breeding and devour-building a pet is very resource intensive. Consider: is Arena, Dragon Mines, or Story more important to you?

Resources

Getting a great pet requires lots of Genetic Factors (which come in multiple rarities) and Devour Gems. This is why fishing and gardening are very important. Try to acquire useful dolls that enhance your flower or fish collecting from events like Princess Diaries. As of writing, the best doll is the Han Xin doll which doubles everything caught in the pond 100% of the time.

Breeding Basics

There are a few things to keep in mind when picking pets to breed:

  • If a pet has a mythic skill and no mythic talents, it is 100% food for pets that have mythic talents. Breed food with other food to use up their breeding chances before using them in devour.
  • For non-mythic skill or non-mythic talent pets, do not waste Genetic Factors on them unless they possess the increased mutation rate talent. Pets with this talent should ALWAYS be bred as they are your best chance of getting mythic talents.

Talent Matching

Breed pets with the same number of mythic talents as the expected result is the floor of the two talent amounts:

  • Both have 3 mythic talents = expected result is 3 (may get 2, rarely 4).
  • A 2-talent pet bred with a 3-talent pet = expected result is 2 (may get 1, rarely 3).

Ideally, work towards obtaining 4 or 5 mythic talents.

Generations

Pets should only be bred with pets of the same generation:

  • Pets from eggs = 1st generation (use Common Genetic Factors to breed)
  • Their offspring = 2nd generation (use Rare Genetic Factors)
  • And so forth...

Don't mix generations because it uses the more rare Genetic Factor of the two to breed.

Choosing Talents

The best talents are ones that get increased effects based on how many skills of that rarity the pet possesses. Consider your team comp when deciding on resist drop, penetration, ATK%, crit, etc. Your final pet does NOT want any talents related to breeding as they become useless.

Mutation is not required for a good pet β€” talents and skills are independent of the mutation. Mutation just gives a much higher rate of acquiring good talents/skills.

Devouring for Skills

Once you've bred a pet with nice mythic talents, use it to devour mythic-skill food pets:

  • There is a 50% fail rate on devour.
  • Even on success, you're only likely to pick up one skill (don't expect both if the food has two mythic skills).
  • Repeat until you've acquired the three mythic skills needed to max/activate your talents.
